Living at Origin
Origin at Spring Creek provides seniors the care they need to continue living a full and active lifestyle. With rental and homeownership opportunities for independent and assisted living, there’s something for everyone at Origin. Our community is safe, secure, and designed with the active senior in mind. All of our services are designed to help seniors live maintenance-free lifestyles so you can focus more on what you want to do and less on maintaining your home.
There are endless things to do at Origin at Spring Creek. Head on down to the dining room and enjoy a home-cooked meal with fellow residents and then choose from a wide array of daily activities to participate in throughout the day. Or, enjoy the outdoors and explore the paved pathways around the neighbourhood to find a bench or picnic table to sit and relax.
For seniors who need support with activities of daily living, home care is provided by Origin’s Health & Wellness team of RNs, LPNs, and HCAs. Origin is happy to provide assistance with eating, medication, bathing, grooming, dressing and more. We take a personalized approach to assisted living, getting to know your likes and dislikes, and working around your schedule to provide holistic care.
Suite Features
Origin suites are bright, spacious, and accessible, providing the perfect balance to make you feel at home and accommodate your needs. Choose between our studio suites, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom with or without den.
Suites include:
- Classic neutral décor including plush carpeting, modern lighting, and window coverings.
- Large energy-efficient windows offering a variety of exposures to Canmore’s breathtaking mountain vistas and are openable for summer breezes.
- Convenient kitchenette with tile backsplash, fridge, microwave, sink, and non-slip flooring.
- Telephone, Internet and basic cable TV service with outlets in bedroom(s) and living room.
- Individual climate controls.
- Brightly lit, private 3 piece bathroom with grab bars featuring a spacious vanity, an oversized seated shower, toilet, and non-slip floors.
Cost of Living
Monthly Fees for our Inclusive Living include:
- Heat, hydro
- basic cable TV service, telephone, and Wi-Fi included. *Long-distance not included
- Includes assistance with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Three Meals a day!
- Fitness and recreation programs.

Our services focus on providing our residents with a maintenance-free lifestyle, so you can focus on doing the things you want to do. With maintenance, safety and security covered, residents can also travel with peace of mind knowing that their home will be taken care of while they are gone.
Inclusive Living and Alberta Home Care
Resident’s of Origin at Spring Creek need not worry about having to move again if their care needs increase. Origin at Spring Creek encourages residents to age in place. All care needs can be provided and supported in our Inclusive Living!
For seniors who need a little extra help with their daily living activities, Origin at Spring Creek offers health and wellness services. All residents of Alberta are eligible to receive home care services, provided they complete an assessment to determine what services they require.
The Alberta Health Services can provide you with services in your suite. The Home Care program is designed to help you stay in your own environment longer by adding minimal assistance programs. Our Health and Wellness staff are skilled in assessment and will be happy to help you initiate the process of obtaining Home Care from the Province of Alberta.
If residents require support above and beyond the care plan that AHS provides they may register for additional services offered by Origin at Spring Creek for a monthly fee. View our additional services sheet to see what extra care Origin offers.
State of the Art Security & Safety
Safety and security are top of mind for seniors who need a little extra assistance. Our state of the art security and safety systems provide peace of mind for residents and their family members that their homes are safe and if there’s an emergency they can get assistance as quick as possible. Staff are on-site at all times to monitor residents safety, and each resident has a personal emergency response pendant to wear at all times in case they need assistance.
Our buildings are built to the latest fire safety codes and equipped with fire alarm systems, automatic sprinklers, strobe light and audible public address systems, security cameras, exterior door alarms, and emergency pull cords in individual suite bathrooms.
Meals
All-inclusive monthly fees for community members include full-service dining in the Creekside Dining Room for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea every day. At Origin at Spring Creek, dining is an enjoyable experience in our elegant dining room where family and guests are always welcome. It features an “open kitchen” and a chefs table for residents and guests enjoyment. Watch as delicious home-cooked meals are prepared before your eyes by Origin’s red seal chef and kitchen team. Or request a bagged lunch to take with you for the day if you plan to be out and about!
Origin is committed to the highest standards of nutrition and meal preparation. Special dietary requirements are easily accommodated for residents and Origin always features nutritious, healthy living selections at each meal.

Home Maintenance
- Professional on-site management
- Landscaping of common areas, snow removal, and window cleaning
- Weekly housekeeping includes vacuuming, light dusting, bathroom cleaning, and garbage removal.
- Weekly laundering of flat linens (sheets and towels).
Concierge
Our concierge team has been trained to provide excellent customer service to community members, families and service personnel.
Our Concierge are happy to:
- Help you with general inquiries.
- Receive and direct your guests and delivery persons.
- Direct call, messages and inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Accept account payments.
- Sell guest meal tickets and arrange billing to your suites.
- Receive maintenance requests.
- Copy, fax or shred documents for you (charges may apply).
- Take reservations for meals and functions.
- Manage lost and found.
- Arrange a taxi for you.
Transportation
- Weekly scheduled bus transportation for group outings
- Shuttle services are available (*fee for service) including a complimentary doctor appointment day and reasonable taxi rates.
- Resident escort service is available upon request. (*fee for service)
Amenities
Residents have full access to all the amenities of Origin at Spring Creek. Take advantage of daily fitness classes, catch a movie in the screening room, or head down to Mineshaft Tavern for happy hour with some friends.
